Faith Formation
Sacrament Preparation
Sacramental Preparation classes are designed to help people focus on the meaning of the sacrament and their readiness for celebration. In preparation, we look at who God is and who we are in relationship to the meaning of the sacrament. We look at the meaning of signs and symbols used in the sacrament to express our relationship with God. The classes provide an environment for people to discern - make a decision in the context of prayer - his or her readiness to celebrate a particular sacrament. We look at the role of the faith community in nurturing one's relationship with God. Finally, the classes provide participants with an opportunity to reflect on their personal relationship with God and how they would like to continue the lifetime journey to God.

RCIA - Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults

RCIA
Rites of Christian Initiation for Adults

Are you:

  • interested in learning more about the Catholic Church?
  • unbaptized and you have a need for spirituality in your life?
  • baptized, but never received any formal religious education?
  • married to a Catholic and you attend Mass with them, and you want to share in their faith?
  • seeking something in your life, but are not sure what it is?

The Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA) is the place for you.

The RCIA is the Catholic Church's process whereby one could inquire about the Catholic faith and journey towards full reception into the Catholic Church on Easter Vigil. Every year adults are welcomed into the Catholic Community through RCIA. It is a learning experience that will change your life and give your life new meaning and new direction.

If you or someone you know is interested in becoming a Catholic please plan on joining us for our first class Monday, September 13 or call Deacon Dave at 414-6706 for more information.
