Welcome Mother Olga and Sisters!
We welcome Mother Olga and seven Sisters from the Daughters of Mary of Nazareth religious community in Boston this week to our parish. They will arrive on Monday and get settled into the diocesan house (the old St. Michael’s convent) where they will stay. The evangelization work and parish mission will begin on Tuesday morning.
I would like to request that every parishioner be a part of this event in at least one way.
After all the masses this weekend, there will be a table set up on the patio in front of the Church, for people to ask questions, to find a way to serve the mission this week and to sign up. There will be a person on our planning committee present outside and they will have more ideas for every parishioner to find a way to be a part of the mission in at least one way!
Finally, Mother Olga will introduce herself and the Sisters through a video this Sunday at all the Masses, so this will give us all a better idea of what to expect.
Schedule Changes to note for the mission week:
Weekday Masses Monday, September 30th through Friday October 4th will be at 8:00 a.m. (no Wednesday 6:00 p.m. Mass).
Please note that there is no 8:00 a.m. Mass next Sunday at St. Michael’s Church. There will be the normal Saturday 5:00 p.m. Mass but we are canceling the Sunday 8:00 a.m. Mass so as to encourage everyone’s presence at the 11:00 a.m. Mass at the pier.
This annual Mass in honor of our patron, St. Michael the Archangel, is very beautiful looking over the altar of sacrifice to the Atlantic Ocean. Please do your best to attend. (We will have golf carts to assist those who are not able to walk up the boardwalk.
May God bless our evangelization and mission week, and may God bless you.
St. Michael the Archangel, pray for us!
