Priest: Parents in their family spirituality and prayer are asked to pray for Vocations to the Priesthood and the Religious Life. The seeds of faith as well as vocations come from the domestic church - the home. Around the family dinner table, conversation about priestly life and the life of religious men and women is so important.
Our Diocese of Savannah has been blessed over the past few years with an increase of young men entering seminaries for discernment of a priestly vocation. Our Diocese has witnessed by their example, the dedicated lives of so many Religious Communities of Men and Women serving in our schools, parishes and social outreach programs.
Our Diocese has a special "Prayer for Vocations". Here at St. Michael Parish that prayer is recited at every week day Mass at the end of the Prayers of the Faithful.
Anyone who is discerning a CALL to the priesthood or the Religious Life is encouarged to talk to their Pastor or Deacon.
Deacon: The Order of Permanent Deacons is open to married and unmarried Catholic men. Anyone who is discerning a CALL to the diaconate is encouraged to talk to their Pastor or Deacon.
