Convinced is an awesome film about our Catholic Faith.  It could be a way of reaching out to any family member who maybe a little rusty in the practice of the faith.  Come and try to bring your family and friends with you.  Ant the Trinity Mass is a way of bonding us together with a deeper sense that we belong to each other.  It will be the only Mass on the Island that weekend.  The Pastoral Council will provide coffee and donuts after Mass.  Both events are gentle (we don’t want to start bashing heads) ways of reaching out to a broader Community and sharing our faith.

Lent is upon us.  And even though it is not a Holy Day of Obligation, many of you will attend Mass this Wednesday (8am and 6pm) and have ashes imposed on your foreheads.  The ashes remind us of our mortality.  One day we shall die and then what?  Well the game plan for those who have turned to God with all their hearts is to be happy with God forever.  So, the Big Question in the Quiz of Life is this – Do you want to draw closer to God?  If the answer is “yes”, then think about joining a Lenten small group:

St. Michael Night Out – Our gathering at Fannies this past Monday was so much fun.  Jenny Orr, the owner, was well prepared for us with a special menu and a friendly staff who provided great service.  I was stunned that Jenny donated back to the parish what y’all spent on food.  Please, thank her the next time you are at Fannies.
